ABOUT
The office consists of a pair of twin Optometrists. :) Both Dr. Dennis and Dr. Dixon Wong completed their pre-med/Biochemistry degree at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and continued their optometric education locally at the Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO) in Fullerton. Before they became Doctors of Optometry, they both worked alongside world renowned contact lens specialist Dr. Barry Weissman at the Jules Stein Eye Institute and Doris Stein Eye Institute for research on Keratoconus and Staph-related corneal ulcers, while studying at UCLA. The two also spent a lot of time with many volunteer organizations as Optometry students and upon graduating from Optometry school. Dr. Dennis was the Director of Public Health in Optometry School. Dr. Dennis and Dixon assisted as Volunteer Optometry Services to Humanity (VOSH) members in Dec. 2007 to help perform over 700 eye examinations for low income patients in Jerez, Zacatecas, Mexico. In addition, they both volunteered their time to provide for the under-served populations in Inglewood and Compton, as well as worked closely with a women's homeless shelter in the city of Duarte and VSP's mobile eye clinic to provide free vision screenings.
Some of their numerous awards including: Dr. Takao Shishino Endowed Scholarships, Dr. John Dean Student Research Award, Asian American Optometric Society Award, Sports Vision Award, and being recognized in the Deans Honor List. They are both currently the Class Agent for their graduating class, assisting with alumni relations and class fundraising.

Dr. Dennis' experience includes working in Downtown Los Angeles helping low-income residents receive eye examinations and treatment at the Optometric Center of Los Angeles (OCLA). In addition, his clinical externship at the Veteran Affairs West Los Angeles hospital fine tuned his ocular disease management skills. He studied at a United States Naval Hospital in Japan serving our military personnel.

Dr. Dixon is proud to have served two Veteran Affairs (VA) locations, Bakersfield and VA Southern Nevada, where he managed many different pathologies, including cataracts, Diabetes, and Macular Degeneration. He also worked closely with the Indian Health Service (IHS) in Warm Springs, Oregon, gaining more experience in treating patients of various ethnicities and backgrounds. Dr. Dixon also has extensive LASIK co-management skills and is able to fit Contact Lenses on difficult corneas, including patients with pathology and Keratoconus.
Dr. Dennis has published several articles on the eyes, including "Corneal Epithelial Wound Healing" & the "Role of Tim22/23 Proteins in the Mitochondria." Dr. Dixon also published an article, titled "Detection and Discrimination of a novel grating stimulus" upon receiving an exclusive research invitation to State University of New York (SUNY) Optometry.
Both of the Doctors are fluent in Cantonese and able to perform eye examinations in Spanish as well.
